【林前13:4】爱是恒久忍耐，又有恩慈；爱是不嫉妒，爱是不自夸，不张狂。【1 Cor13:4】Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

什么是爱？在讲完属灵的恩赐之后，保罗用寥寥数语把神圣、完全、无条件的爱展示在我们面前。What is love? After speaking of the spiritual gifts, Paul, with but a few words, sets before us the holy, perfect, and unconditional love of God. 神的爱是恒久忍耐，又有恩慈；是不嫉妒，不自夸，不张狂…God’s love is patient and kind; it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud…我们一生寻寻觅觅都在寻找爱，渴望得着爱，但心中的空洞似乎总是填不满，直到遇见基督的爱，漂泊的心才得着安息。All our lives we search for love, longing to be loved. Yet the emptiness in our hearts is never truly filled—until we encounter the love of Christ. Only then does the wandering soul find rest.

神圣的爱，不仅是在被拒绝、被冒犯、被伤害时，长久地忍受，不轻易发怒，不以恶报恶，而且满有恩慈待人，求对方的益处…Divine love is not only the long-suffering that bears rejection, offence, and injury without anger or retaliation; it is also rich in kindness, seeking the good of the other. 正如耶稣在十字架上，被冤屈、被鞭打、被钉死时，没有怨恨苦毒，没有打击报复，Such is the love of Christ, who, while falsely accused, scourged, and nailed to the cross, held no bitterness nor sought revenge. 反而满有怜悯为我们祈求：父啊，赦免他们，他们所作的，他们不晓得…Instead, He was filled with compassion, praying for those who crucified Him:“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

耶稣的爱是不嫉妒，甘愿把祂的生命、国度和一切所有赐给我们…The love of Jesus is without envy. He willingly gives us His life, His Kingdom, and all that He has. 神的儿子耶稣，有着至高的权柄能力，却不自夸，不张狂，降卑到世上作仆人，舍命作我们的赎价…Though He is the Son of God, possessing all authority and power, He did not boast, nor was He proud. Instead, He humbled Himself, came to this world as a servant, and gave His life as a ransom for us. 主啊，对照这份爱，我只能承认自己的无有，就算是对自己孩子的“爱”，也常带着条件，是那么容易生气、发怒…O Lord, when I behold such love, I can only confess how lacking I am. Even the love I show my own children is often conditional—so quick to anger, so easily stirred to frustration…

主啊，你知道我的旧人易怒、报复、嫉妒、骄傲…就把爱的源头——你自己赐给了我！O Lord,You know my old self—quick to anger, bent on revenge, filled with envy and pride. Yet You, the very fountain of love, have given Yourself to me! 感谢你恒久地忍耐，不断以恩慈待我，用爱吸引我回转。Thank You for Your unending patience, for Your kindness that never fails, for drawing me back with cords of love. 主，带领我常思想你十架上牺牲的爱，使我心被恩感，谦卑否定自己，Lead me, Lord, to continually behold the love You poured out upon the cross—that my heart may be moved by grace, that I may humble myself and deny my flesh, 因信支取神的爱，活出恒久忍耐，又有恩慈的生命，祝福身边的人！that by faith I may lay hold of Your love, and live a life marked by patience and kindness, to be a blessing to those around me.
