当保罗结束这篇“爱的颂歌”时,把我们的信仰历程凝聚成了三个词:信、望、爱!When Paul concluded this “Hymn of Love,” he summed up our journey of faith in three words: faith, hope, and love. Faith is theng point where we encounter God. Hope is the driving force that keeps us moving forward. To live out love and be united with love is our ultimate goal. Without faith as the foundation, hope becomes an empty fantasy. Without hope, faith cannot endure. And without love, we remain in death. Love is born of faith and sustained by hope.
We are saved by grace through faith. We enter by faith and live by faith. Abraham, when there was no reason to hope, still hoped by faith. Even without seeing, he believed that what God had promised He was able to accomplish. ised He was able to accomplish. Because of faith and the hope of resurrection, the hope of an eternal Kingdom, countless saints have regarded all things as rubbish compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ, and they spent their lives pursuing and living out Jesus’ self-giving love.
Faith, hope, and love are inseparably linked and build upon one another, but the greatest of these is love—for God is love, and love never fails. Jesus fully trusted the Father. For the joy set before Him, He endured the suffering of the cross, poured out His life, and with a love that obeyed unto death, He defeated the devil, conquered death, and rewrote human history. Lord, thank You—it was You who loved us first and prepared for us an eternal home!
Lord, forgive me. These past years have been so hard because I’ve struggled in my own strength. It was unbelief that caused me to lose hope. But Your love has saved me again and again, bringing me back to the faith I had at first—to believe the truth about my sinful nature, to trust Your Word, to wear the helmet of salvation as I battle my own heart, to tear down strongholds, and to let the life of Christ take greater rule in me. May I pursue oneness with love and bring glory to the Father’s name.
