(约 9:4)又说:“白日不是有十二个小时吗?”(约 11:9)When Jesus was on earth, He warned His disciples: “As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent Me. Night is coming, when no one can work” (John 9:4). He also said, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight?” (John 11:9). Jesus knew that the time the Father gave Him was limited, so in His three and a half years of ministry, He worked tirelessly, day and night, to finish the work God entrusted to Him. The Lord showed us through His life what it means to “make the most of the time.”
Today’s world is evil. Satan uses countless schemes to distract and deceive believers, wasting our precious time on meaningless things—being caught up in the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life—while neglecting to seek God’s will with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Many store up wealth on earth but forget to store up treasures in heaven. They chase after worldly success but lose the priceless treasure of knowing Christ.
Lord, thank You for setting the example for us, teaching me that both time and energy are limited—and once gone, they can never be recovered. Don’t let me reach the end and live in regret. Help me to stay alert, to make the best use of my time, and to seize every opportunity to live for You.
(箴 25:2)Lord, You said, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings to search it out” (Proverbs 25:2). (诗 25:14)Thank You for hiding things—not to confuse me, but to invite me into deeper closeness with You. You’ve promised that those who seek will find, and that “the Lord confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them” (Psalm 25:14). Understanding Your will doesn’t come from curiosity, but from love—a desire to obey You. When Jesus was on earth, He obeyed in all things, never seeking His own way but only that the Father’s will would be done. That’s the heart of a Son who loves and honours His Father.
Lord, forgive me for being lazy, for not praying earnestly or seeking Your will diligently, and for missing the many moments You intended to shape and train me. (来 11:6)You’ve always been waiting—waiting for me to seek You and to receive the reward You’ve promised to those who love You (Hebrews 11:6). Help me truly understand that Your will may be hidden, but never to leave me lost. It’s an invitation to enjoy the joy of seeking You, knowing You, touching Your heart, and finding deep satisfaction in obeying You. In patience and obedience, may I find real hope. Train me to be a faithful servant with the heart of a king.
Lord, thank You for giving us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation. Your will is that we become wise like Christ—living in You, asking, reflecting, and growing in spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that we fully know Your will and no longer live aimlessly or foolishly. (诗27:4) May I please You in everything, bearing good fruit—like Your faithful servant King David, who said: “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple” (Psalm 27:4). (来 10:36)May I live according to Your heart, finish Your will, and in the end receive the reward You’ve promised (Hebrews 10:36).
