Psalm 22 is known as the “Messianic Suffering Psalm.”It begins with cries arising from humiliation, encirclement, contempt, and near-despair; then turns to praise filled with faith and hope, and finally extends outward to all nations and all peoples.

Humility is not weakness or shrinking back; rather, it is to acknowledge before God one’s own limitations and spiritual poverty—to confess that one’s “chariots and horses” are unreliable in the midst of circumstances, and to admit that, apart from You, life is dry and withered.

大卫从年少时被扫罗追杀,在旷野逃亡,却在无数绝境中发出极大赞美的声音。From his youth, David was pursued by Saul and fled through the wilderness;

yet in countless desperate situations he lifted up exceedingly great praise. David discovered this secret of victory: humility.When, in hardship, he could neither understand nor comprehend, he still looked up, sought God, and lifted his praise to Him, returning to the humble place of a created being. And in the process of seeking God,

David gained God Himself—who became the satisfaction and joy of his whole life.

One who truly seeks God comes to know, in the midst of extremity, who he is and who God is; he no longer fears, nor does he struggle in his own strength. One who praises God, even in hardship, remains deeply assured that God reigns. He will surely come among us, sending down the rain of grace, that our weary and parched heart, body, and soul may all be refreshed and filled. Because He lives, we also shall live.

And men, beholding the living God, will surely break forth in praise.

After the Lord Jesus endured the suffering of rejection, mockery, and piercing upon the cross, He rose from the dead, accomplishing the great work of redemption, and set forth a spiritual banquet, that we who are poor and broken might truly “eat and be satisfied.” Just as Jesus said: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”He became poor for our sake,

so that through His poverty we might become rich.

O Lord, as I look back on the path I have walked, whenever I exalted myself and thought I could do something for You, I fell into countless bitter failures. Yet each time I turned back to You, truly confessing, “Apart from You I can do nothing,” humbling myself in repentance and seeking You with all my heart, I beheld Your wondrous works.

O Lord, I thank You for Your blessing: “May your hearts live forever!”Lord, during this Spring Festival season, I have a special need for this “living heart.” Amid the busyness of social obligations and the frictions of daily trifles, I ask that You restrain me—do not allow my heart to be eroded and dried up by worldly anxieties. Teach me to be a humble person,

not entangled in the strife and competition of this world, but seeking only before You. When I feel my heart “congested” or weary within, let me immediately humble myself and turn to You—to seek You, to praise You, and to practise, even in busyness, following Your gentleness and humility. Let me know that it is You who bears my burden and carries my yoke.Teach me to surrender all into Your hands, that my heart may live continually in Your presence.
