【诗96:3-4】“在列邦中述说他的荣耀！在万民中述说他的奇事！因耶和华为大，当受极大的赞美；他在万神之上，当受敬畏。”【Psa 96:3-4】“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.”

这篇诗篇也记载在《历代志上》16:23–33。当时的背景是，大卫王将约柜运回耶路撒冷，并把约柜安放在圣幕里。他指派亚萨和利未人在耶和华面前歌唱赞美，颂扬神信实地与祂的百姓同在。This psalm is recorded in 1 Chronicles 16:23–33. The background was when King David brought the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem and placed it inside the sacred tent. He appointed Asaph and the Levites to sing praises before the LORD, celebrating God’s faithful presence among His people.

约柜提醒以色列人，当他们顺服神的话而行时，祂就住在他们中间。当时，以色列四周的列国都在敬拜巴力和亚舍拉等假神。The Ark reminded Israel that when they walked in obedience to God's Word, He dwelled with them. At that time, Israel was surrounded by nations worshipping false gods like Baal and Asherah.拜偶像，就是渴望某样事物过于渴望神自己——试图走捷径得到我们想要的，却不愿降服、顺服祂的话，也不愿接受祂所赐给我们的。Idolatry means desiring something more than God Himself—trying to find shortcuts to get what we want, while refusing to surrender, obey His word, or accept what He gives us.

今天，我们的世界也充满了“偶像”，例如金钱、成功、人的认可和倚靠自己。但这些事物都不能拯救我们、引导我们，也不能赐给我们长久的平安。Our world today is also full of "idols"—such as money, success, human approval, and self-reliance. But none of these things can save us, guide us, or give us lasting peace.

诗人提醒我们，假神全然虚无，惟有耶和华是创造诸天的真神。述说神的荣耀和大作为，是祂百姓的呼召，也是击败我们周围偶像的有力武器。勇敢宣扬祂的作为，使我们充满平安和喜乐，并赐给我们勇气，胜过这世界的试探。The psalmist reminds us that false gods are completely worthless, but the LORD is the true God who created the heavens. Sharing God’s glory and great deeds is the calling of His people, and it is a powerful weapon to defeat the idols around us. Boldly declaring His works fills us with peace and joy, giving us the courage to overcome the temptations of this world.

祷告Prayer

天父，Heavenly Father,

求祢饶恕我，因我曾被恐惧驱使，接受属世的价值观，并追逐偶像。求祢饶恕我，因我本应分享祢的恩典时，却保持沉默。求祢帮助我们在心中高举祢，而不是为了讨不信之人的喜悦，高举属世的偶像。Forgive me for the times fear led me to adopt worldly values and chase after idols. Forgive me for staying silent when I should have shared Your grace. Help us to exalt You in our hearts rather than raising up worldly idols to please unbelievers.

求祢将祢的律法写在我的心版上，使我可以遵行祢爱的诫命。求祢以喜乐和力量充满我，使我向万民宣扬祢奇妙的作为。Write Your law on the tablet of my heart so that I may walk in Your commands of love. Fill me with joy and strength to proclaim Your marvelous works to all people.

惟有祢为大，配得一切赞美。求祢开我的眼睛，使我每天都能看见祢的奇事。求祢使我的心充满敬畏，并赐给我勇气和喜乐，与身边的人分享祢的爱，成就祢拯救万国的计划。You alone are great and worthy of all praise. Open my eyes to see Your wonders every day. Fill my heart with awe, and give me the courage and joy to share Your love with those around me, fulfilling Your plan to save all nations.
