Psalm 104 is an expression of wonder and praise to the Creator. As the psalmist watches the sun, moon, and stars operate with precise order and sees the natural world filled with a rich variety of created things, he sees a great Designer of infinite wisdom. The whole earth is filled with God’s wisdom and abundance.Wherever we turn our eyes, we can see His wonderful works.
This naturally leads us to reflect: since God possesses such great wisdom to create the vast and complex universe, does He not have the wisdom to deal with the small difficulties in my life and guide the path ahead of me? Since He is all-wise and almighty, why am I unwilling to obey Him? Why, when things happen, am I unwilling to come before Him first and ask Him first? If we learn to come before Him in everything to seek wisdom, guidance, and direction, how many wrong decisions and foolish detours could we avoid in our lives?
True wisdom is not having more knowledge, but knowing more and more deeply how much we need God. The highest expression of God’s wisdom is not only seen in creation, but is revealed in the redemption accomplished through the cross. The cross redefines wisdom and invites us into another kind of wisdom: turning away from relying on ourselves, surrendering to Him with a reverent heart, and becoming truly wise people.
Heavenly Father, I praise You!You are the wise Creator of heaven, earth, and all things, and You are also the abundant Provider. How limited I am before Your infinite wisdom. Please forgive me for so often relying on my own understanding and abilities, making my own plans, and forgetting to come before You to seek Your guidance. Lord, Your perspective is eternal, while my vision is limited to the present. Please give me wisdom and make me sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Entrusting everything to You is the wisest choice. Even when Your leading is beyond my understanding or seems unreasonable to me, I still firmly believe that You are wise, good, and faithful. 奉主耶稣基督的名求,阿们!For You rule over my life with perfect wisdom and infinite love, and You lead me into Your good and pleasing will. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
